Dear Friends,
I used to chew my fingernails down to nubs. There was always so much to worry or feel anxious about!
I worried about my kids, my health, money. You name it, I kvetched about it. Do you do this?
"Experts" tell us that the most common mindset of women is WORRY.
Is there really that much to worry about or is it just our unique perspective (and inner wiring) that makes us feel fretful?
You know, the answer to this question doesn't really matter.
Whether the threat is real or imagined (or exaggerated in our mind), the antidote is the same:
SELF-COMPASSION
Self-compassion—doing the kindest thing for myself in a moment of terror or fear—cooked anxiety's goose. It took my chronic worry and kicked it out of the ball park.
For the first time in my life I felt free because I knew how to treat the worry, fear and anxiety with compassion.
I can show you how to do this. To free yourself from chronic worry, fear or anxiety if that's what ails you.
But what if you're angry or sad? Disappointed in others?
What if you're dealing with physical pain or illness? Grief or loss?
The same antidote applies: SELF-COMPASSION.
