How I Broke My Toe Doing Yoga:
A Painful Lesson in Non-Awareness
Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.

It's not easy to confess that at one time in your life you were so caught up in ego, so unaware, that you hurt yourself because of it. This is my self-compassionate story of the week; a time when I was NOT compassionate with myself and the pain that it caused. 

What I know now is that we all have moments of poor self-awareness. We all make mistakes. None of us is perfect. Nor should we try to be. 

There is no reason to beat ourselves up about this. In fact, the kindest thing we can do is to notice how we got hooked and vow to do it differently next time. And to be tender with ourselves! We caused ourselves enough pain as it was by making the foolish decision we did. Forgive, let go, move on. Bless ourselves. We are so precious!
