"Self-Compassionate or Lazy?"
A bit of myth busting.
Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.

If you're self-compassionate, doesn't that mean you're too soft, wimpy or just plain lazy?

Lovely friend, nothing is further from the truth! The most self-compassionate people I know are the savviest, smartest and, often, the most productive people! They know how to stop often during their days to take self-compassion breaks. They nourish themselves all day long with kind thoughts, balanced feelings and good body care.

Today's video explains. (Watch below)

"Nourish" is one of my favorite words. It implies health (as in eating healthy food), and it also includes ANYTHING we can generously supply ourselves with so we are happy and well—body, mind, heart and spirit. Good self-compassionate awareness helps us know what we need in any given moment to be as well as possible.

This summer I'm focusing on inner nourishment. My own, and supporting others in theirs, including an upcoming, super fun and delicious retreat. Yum! Would you like to join me?

Stay tuned to these videos and my blog as we nourish our whole and holy selves this summer!

Eat, pray, love yourself home to yourself,
Jan

"I stay attuned to my body-mind. When it sends signals of feeling ill at ease, I can stop what I'm doing and take a few minutes to nourish myself, restoring my peace in a gentle way."
