Who Takes Care of YOU?
Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.

Someone asked me a very powerful question a while back, knowing that I "care for" a lot of different people in many different capacities. Perhaps you are someone who cares for others too. Maybe you are even a caretaker for someone you love.

In today's video, I invite you to think about 'Who takes care of you?'

Do you have someone? Who is the best person to provide you with the TLC—Tender Loving Compassion—that you need to thrive (not just survive) in life.

Asking yourself, "What is the kindest thing I can do for myself right now?", is a key question when it comes to our self-care. And self-care as you may know, is the bedrock of a self-compassionate lifestyle. Without good self-care, we remain parched and thirsty, even depleted, unable to care for others when we necessary.

Today, may you fill your well with good things and nourish yourself first so you can give to others from the overflow.

"Even Mother Teresa, who was the epitome of goodness and service to others, states in her book, A Simple Path, that following the precepts of Saint Augustine is preferable. She quotes him as saying, "Fill yourselves first and then only will you be able to give to others."
