Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.
Last week I waged a battle with the forces of evil: our lawn care service. Ok, I'm exaggerating. It's just that their inconvenient and inconsistent choice of when to arrive at my house drives me absolutely crazy.
Today's video explains why. And what happened.
In truth, the lawn people are
just doing their job as best they can. They're just being "lawn care people." It's ME that is the problem, er, my reactivity that's the real issue.
As I share in this video, we all have our "lawnmower
moment":—the things that ruffle our feathers, shake us up, irritate us to no end. And, in truth, we may have a whole pack of them lining up at our door each day.
The trick is having a different
relationship with them AND knowing what to do when you get lured in to battle. AND what to do with yourself—kindly!— so you can step right out of the drama. AND the discomfort it's causing.
I hope today's video
will help you be kinder and gentler with yourself when your lawnmower moments arrive. Because they will. And you need to be prepared. LOL.
p.s. Check out my blog post today. Roseanne Rosannadana has some wisdom to
share.
Big calm hugs to you today,
