Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.
Here's a startling truth. You can't think your way to anything. You have to practice it. You have to actually DO something to get get good at.
Think about the Olympic gymnast, Gabby
Douglas. Oh, my! That girl has practiced, practiced, practiced! Isn't she amazing? Brings tears to my eyes to just watch her. She knows what it means to be dedicated to her journey.
Are you dedicated to the cause of inner calm? Do you want to be free of
tension, worry and anxiety throughout your day? Or, at the very least, know to handle what comes at you with less struggle?
To get these kinds of great results, dedicate yourself to practice, beginning with taking little
self-compassion breaks throughout the day to breathe kindly.
In today's video we do this—together!
Imagine what relief you'd experience if you stopped once an hour to take 3 self-compassionate breaths.
You'd be a self-companion champion and win the Gold!
Breathe in kindness, breathe out joy,
Jan
