Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.
Next, in my 4-part series on "The Four P's" of creating good self-care. Last week, we talked about Permission.
Today's video features #2: Prioritizing
and the obstacle of not putting yourself on the list.
Establishing priorities is key to good,
self-compassionate care. At some point, we all have to sit down and figure out what is really important on a day-to-day basis. We should all put ourselves on that list! Begin today to create more time in your day for you and your care.
Setting personal priorities may feel challenging at first. Change is never easy. By prioritizing, you will find out WHO you really are and what it is YOU want and need. You will learn what is important to you and what isn't—what you can let go of. I've found that mixing up my schedule—putting time and space for me into my day—is very energizing. And healing.
Establishing priorities and acting on them takes courage. Be strong, be brave! Love yourself enough to make the changes in your life will result in greater well-being and happiness.
Love,
Jan
