you for your patience!)
Welcome to this week's self-compassion video.
Next, in my 4-part series on "The Four P's" of creating good self-care. Last week, we talked about Prioritizing.
Today's video features #3: Perfectionism
Oh, this is a nasty obstacle!
Acknowledging and reducing perfectionism is
essential if you are trying to live more kindly with yourself.
In the interest of self-nurturing, we realize that our idealistic, perfectionistic life goals will have to go. The late Erma Bombeck said, "A woman can have and do it all, but not at the same time." Indeed, something will have to give if you are going to
put yourself on your list, find "me time," relaxation and self-nurturing opportunities. We cannot do it all all at once, nor should we try. And let us remember than multi-tasking is not a kind thing!
Let's try something
different. Let's try, instead, to focus on making gentle progress (not focusing on perfection) throughout our day. This week's video might give you a few ideas of how to begin.
Love and peace in all things,
Jan
